Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP)
The groundbreaking Safe and Sound Protocol, developed by Dr. Steven Porges, stimulates the functioning of the Social Engagement Nervous System by toning the structures of the middle ear to hear the human voice and sounds of safety.
The SSP has shown results in the following areas:
Sound sensitivities, Misophonia, Tinnitus
Vagal regulation (e.g. state regulation, digestion, sleep)
Anxiety and Chronic Pain

Rest and Restore Protocol™
Developed by Dr. Stephen Porges and Anthony Gorry, Rest and Restore Protocol™ (RRP) is an innovative, clinical-grade listening therapy designed to help calm and restore mental and physical functioning.
RRP is informed by decades of research studying physiological rhythms in the body, including heart rate, respiration, blood pressure, and in the gut, alongside deep knowledge of advanced sound technology. This scientifically engineered acoustic signal and music support deep relaxation and optimal recovery for clients.
RRP has been reported to help clients:
Become more accessible to therapy
Enhance autonomic regulation
Improve gut function
Feel more relaxed, calm, and at ease
Sleep better
Feel less anxious and depressed
Have greater access to their feelings

Ways to Engage with SSP or RRP
I often integrate the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) or Rest & Restore Protocol (RRP) into ongoing treatment plans. However, these protocols may also be experienced as a standalone offering.
If you choose to engage in SSP or RRP independently, the process typically unfolds as follows:
Initial Session (60 minutes)
We begin with a one-hour session where:
• You will be registered in the app-based listening platform
• We will discuss your goals and intentions for this work
• We may complete optional assessments to help track your progress
• You will listen to 10–15 minutes of the selected protocol
During the listening portion, we carefully observe your nervous system’s response to determine whether the protocol — and the level selected — is appropriate for you.
Ongoing Support
Following the initial session, we meet weekly or biweekly for 30-minute check-in sessions, depending on your clinical support needs.
Listening sessions are typically done at home in 10–15 minute increments. The overall pacing of the protocol varies from person to person and is adjusted thoughtfully as we go.
This gradual approach allows your nervous system to integrate safely and sustainably.
Fees
Initial 60-minute session: $200
30-minute check-in sessions: $50
